«EKO PLOD» COMPANY FOR PRODUCTION, PROCESSING AND FREEZING OF THE POTATOES AND BERRIES

Location: Prača, Hrenovica, Federation of BiH In the near vicinity of Sarajevo, good geographical position, suitable climate, nearby forests rich in various wildlife and forest fruits ideal for the agriculture development (or domestic economy development, nisam ovo sigurna sta bolje odgovara) - Production facilities in Prača, along with new nursery garden was set up extending to the area of 3.000 m2 for berries production (namely: raspberries, strawberries and blackberries). During this year a total of 30.000 seedlings of raspberries, 100.000 seedlings of strawberries and 5.000 seedlings of blackberries will be acquired from various cooperants. - The plan for the future is to expand the seedlings production in the forthcoming years to produce up to 300.000 seedlings of raspberries, up to 200.000 seedlings of strawberries and the production of blueberries is also planned. Main activity: Production and freezing of potatoes and berries POTATOES: Resources:  Own production facilities (20 hectares of arable land)  Cooperants (Suppliers of organic goods) Facility 1 – for processing of semi-finished goods:  French fries (1 200 tons)  Half-baked potatoes  Peeled whole potatoes  Sliced potatoes Facility 2 – for processing cubed potatoes BERRIES: Resources:  Own production facilities (20 hectares of arable land)  Cooperants (Suppliers of organic goods) Facility 2 – for processing of frozen fruit and vegetables  Berries  Plums  Vegetables  Mixed vegetable packs for households KOOPERANTI - In 2015 we have concluded 47 supplier agreements with various suppliers to acquire 120.000 seedling of raspberry - In 2016, we have concluded additional 40 agreements, with a plan to expand by 2020 - Facilities for organic production are mainly located in Eastern Bosnia, areas with limited history of production of berries, therefore we have hired two agronomist who have been working continuously with our cooperants in order to achieve the best results. We especially want to emphasize several areas: Goražde, Prača, Sokolac, Pale, Sarajevo, Trnovo, Istočno Sarajevo and Rogatica PACKAGING FACILITY FOR FROZEN GOODS - Packaging of bags for retail (0,5 kg to 5 kg) - Capacity of the packaging facility: ca. 2 tons per hour - Possibility to adjust the design of the package - Packed goods are refrigerated for storing REFRIGERATORS FOR FROZEN GOODS - Built-in refrigerators for frozen goods with four chambers: One chamber (-38°C) that can hold up to 300 tons, and three chambers that can hold up to 30 tons - Freezing is done through the passage tunnel using CO2, with the capacity of 28 tons per day - Infrastructure is entirely set up ABOUT EKO PLOD - Eko plod currently employs a team of 12 experts with a technologist as a lead - Number of cooperants is around 100 - Through development and realization of the idea we have cooperated with the regional market research agency Valicon d.o.o. who has provided us with the market on the frozen fruits and vegetables
